Gym thoughts...
Jul. 8th, 2004 12:32 pmSo I just signed up for a gym today. Amazingly. It's the gym dad belongs to, they have therapy services or just open independent come-whenever-if-you-pay-the-monthly-fee gym. Dad started under their heart therapy program after his heart attack (the second one) and now he is independent. But he hasn't gone as much as he should, so I joined to motivate him (and he's paying, which motivates me). All you need for this gym is a note from your doctor saying it would be a good idea to work out/get therapy/etc. So I got one (I should lose weight) and there I was. Today we had the hour long show-me-how-everything-works time, and boy, am I tired. I did everything - to get the baseline, I suppose, as well. The bike. The Upper body Cycle (like a bike for your arms). Lunges (those evil things from gym class). Pushups (the girl kind, but I was amazed I could do em). Leg Press and Arm Press. Squats. Bicep Curls.
How long has it been since I excercised - like really? High school? College?
I'm weighing myself and possibly measuring myself tonight - just to see what twice a week excercise is gonna do for me. Woo! Wish me luck.

EDIT: I feel so good, I ate a donut. Hee. :)
